About the Coaches
All coaches are available for private lessons

Michelle Doolin, Head Swim Coach
Michelle began her coaching career in her hometown, Paris, KY, where she was
the head coach of the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA Sharks the summer of 1998. In
1999, she was an assistant coach at Spindletop and in 2000 she was named the
head coach at Lansdowne. She graduated from Transylvania University in 2001
where she was a four-year varsity letter winner in swimming and earned a
bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. From 2004 – 2006, she
served as assistant swim coach at Transylvania University. During the winter,
she teaches swim lessons. She is married to Dave Doolin, and they have three
sons - Cash, Hayes and Vin.

Bo Milburn, Head Dive Coach
Bo began coaching at the Signature Club in 2003 as the Assistant Diving Coach.
He grew up at Lansdowne and was a member of the gator diving team for 9 years.
He was a member of the Kentucky Diving Club for 6 years. Bo was a 3-year member
of the Lafayette Diving team and a state finalist each of those three years. He
was a High School All-American, and is currently a student at the University of
Kentucky. After three years away, he is excited to return home to the Signature
Club.
Melissa Smith, Assistant Swim Coach Melissa
began her swimming career as a Lansdowne Gator, where she continued
swimming until 2009. She
is a graduate of Henry Clay High School, where she was a five-time
state qualifier. Melissa swam for Lexington Dolphins for 12 years, and
competed at both state and sectional levels.
She was a four-year varsity letter member of the Centre College swim
team and is a 2013 graduate of Centre College, with a Bachelor's Degree
in Elementary Education. Melissa is very excited to begin her first
summer coaching the Gators.
Cole Pleasants , Assistant Swim Coach
Cole joined the coaching staff at The Signature Club after having graduated
Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 2010 and being a member of the Gators team
for 5 years. His coaching experience began with the Copperfield Crocodiles
where he also swam for 10 years. Cole had a very successful swimming career
with the Lexington Dolphins from 2001 to 2010, where he competed at the state,
sectional and junior national levels. Throughout his five years of swimming for
Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, he was a member of the 2009 Kentucky State
record setting 200 freestyle relay, and he earned the State of Kentucky
Sportsmanship Award in 2010. He currently attends the University of Kentucky.
Kirsten Olson -- Assistant Swim Coach
Kirsten began swimming in 2000 for Lansdowne and continued swimming for 11
years. She coached Mini Gators in the summer of 2011. She swam for Lexington
dolphins throughout middle and high school, and began swimming in 7th grade for
the Lafaytte High School team. Kirsten will be a sophmore at Western Kentucky
University in the fall and is currently planning to major in communication
disorders.
Cassie Perkins -- Assistant Dive Coach
Cassie began her coaching career in the summer of 1998 coaching at the
Signature Club where she was previously a member of the swim/dive team. She was
the Head Diving coach for twelve years. She graduated from Transylvania
University where she was a four-year varisty letter winner in diving. During
the winter, she helps coach diving lessons at UK. Cassie is married to Derek
Perkins and they have one daughter, Halle.
Greg Ferrucci -- Assistant Dive Coach
Greg started out as a gymnast at age 5. During
his time
in gymnastics he was the North Carolina State Champion on the floor
exercise. At age eleven, Greg was burned out from gymnastics and found
diving. Within 6 months of the start of his diving career, he qualified
for the East National Diving Championships. Throughout his diving
career Greg has qualified for many USA Diving Junior and Senior
National Diving Championships. In 2007, he was AAU National Diving
Champion on the one and three meter springboards. Greg is currently a
member of the University of Kentucky diving team. Within his first year
diving at UK he was the bronze medalist on the platform at the SEC
Diving Championships, SEC Male Freshman Diver of the Year, and finished
the year off qualifying for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
In his sophomore year Greg received honorable mention at the NCAA
championships. During junior year he was an All-American at the NCAA
championships; earning him the University of Kentucky Male athlete of
the year and male performance of the year. He is excited for the
opportunity to share his love of diving with the divers at Signature Club.
Ben Klinker -- Assistant Swim Coach
Ben began swimming when he was 7 years old for the Lansdowne Gators. He
attended Lexington Catholic High School where he played baseball. Currently,
Ben attends High Point University where he is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha
Fraternity and is majoring in History.
